This is a passive short-scale bass featuring two Nordstrand Big Split pickups. The McGrath Thumper configuration places one pickup near the neck for a warm vintage tone and a middle pickup for punch and growl making it a versatile powerhouse for both stage and studio.
The electronics have been stripped down for pure high performance functionality with a Volume / Volume / Tone layout using premium CTS components. Volume 1 functions as a dedicated Kill Switch, perfect for quick silencing during live sets. Pull the 2nd Volume and route both pickups in series though the first volume control delivering a mass high-output boost.
