The handpainted Creamsicle finish is complimented by the cream colored pickups and pickguard with a beautiful flame maple neck and fingerboard.
This McGrath Thunderhorse features an array of EMG HZ Passive Pickups. For ultimate tonal control each pickup is paired with its own dedicated Switchcraft On/Off slider allowing for a variety of tonal combinations. The neck pickup is has been moved back slightly allowing more room for slapping. The pickups pump though an EMG BQ30 3-Band preamp running at 18-volts. This increased voltage provides maximum headroom and a remarkably clean and punchy tone.
The Master Volume control features a push-pull pot for true bypass. This allows you to toggle between a modern active growl and a classic passive tone instantly. It also provides peace of mind during live performances - if your batteries run low, you can switch to passive mode and you will never miss a beat.
The body is swamp ash with a beautiful grain that is paired with a roasted flame maple neck and fingerboard. The neck 1.5" Jazz width nut, 12" radius and stainless steel frets ensure maximum comfort and playability. The neck is reinforced with carbon fiber rods with a two-way spoke nut truss rod.
