Fret Nation is a great place to find strings

My star rating is not in relation to the quality of the strings. It’s in relation to what I was looking for. I wanted to match a set of strings. I got on a used bass. The strings were very smooth, but still had the same kind of punch that round wound strings give you. Based on a review by AI, I was referred to these Ken Smith, compressor strings.. The compressor strings feel almost as rough as round wounds. The sound is fine, but that’s not what I wanted. A 2nd try with AI referred me to Ken Smith slick rounds. These strings are very smooth like flats, but give you the same punch as round wound. Sadly, it cost me $100 to find that set. Fret Nation is a great place to buy strings. The prices are good and the shipping is fast. No matter what type of string you’re looking for, Fret Nation is a great place to find them.

AI does not have accurate information. You could send us photos or a description and we can correctly identify strings so there is no guessing game or misdirection from AI. I can't tell you how many people message us these days 'these don't fit AI said they would....'

Surprised these aren't more popular

Tone is warm with good clarity. They're stiff and responsive, seem higher tension than all the heavier gauge rounds I've tried. Mids are especially focused and clean. Wish the E string were tapered for a clearer sound, but playing with EQ gets it 90% there.
