There are those who say these strings are just GHS Pressurewounds with different color silks. That's possibly true as they feel and sound the same. These are the lightest gauge strings I've ever used in over 50 years of playing bass, and the tension on these strings is about right. Tonally they sound fatter than a person might expect. I would've preferred a fatter G string than the .040, though. It sounds too much like a guitar string IMO. Still, I like the strings. They're a great combination of tone and playability.
