GHS Pressurewound Bass Strings are made from GHS's exclusive Alloy 52, a magnetically active material designed specifically to increase the strings brightness. During the winding process, each string's outer wrapping is flattened slightly. This extra process gives the GHS Pressurewound Bass Strings a great smoother feeling and also reduces finger noise and string shift noises.

                  I bought these for a fretless on the advice of other fretless players. They're bright like rounds but a little easier on the fretboard. But, in my experience, they still have more finger sliding noise than I thought they would. Overall, I like them and will continue to use them on my fretless basses.

                  GHS M7200-5 Bass Strings

                  I have these strings on my F-Bass, Elwood w/ Delano pickups, and now on my Warmoth Gecko 5. They minimize fret noise- i.e. they hide my fretting hand sloppiness and they settle in fairly quickly and they last a long time. I had a set of these on my F-Bass for 2 years or more and they were still usable for what I play. All the basses sound great with these strings, 5 star all the way!
