GHS Pressurewound Bass Strings are made from GHS's exclusive Alloy 52, a magnetically active material designed specifically to increase the strings brightness. During the winding process, each string's outer wrapping is flattened slightly. This extra process gives the GHS Pressurewound Bass Strings a great smoother feeling and also reduces finger noise and string shift noises.

                My Favorite String By Far

                They're a perfect blend between the dynamic range of a round wound and the mellower tonality and smoother feel of a flat wound. If I only had a choice of one string type to play on all of my basses it would be Pressurewounds.
