      thasteel Wound strings are excellent for passive pick ups, but not for active

      The steel Wound strings are perfect for pick ups that are passive because the passive pick ups may not have as much brightness the steel strings bring out that clarity and brightness of the passive pick ups but for active EMG‘s or SeymourDuncan’s they’re too bright fortunately, I have short scale bases with passive pick ups
