Great new source of strings

They had the stings I need nobody else has. It’s like not getting penalized for a short string bass. They were discounted to a very good price. Value for the money. Better than expected !

My first time using any DR bass strings .They feel and sound great , better than i expected. Just a great tone with a good bottom . Even with this medium lite gauge my drop D is not sloppy . I hade the sane gauge on prior with Fender strings and I honestly could not drop the E to D , just not playable . I’m more than satisfied with these on my small scale beater bass .

I would like to try a hex-core version, but these get the job done. Round wounds with a long lifespan.

DR Black Beauties

Great strings. Less drag sounds on the fretboard make for a cleaner sound. These are my first set of DR strings and I couldn't be happier. I have a Ibanez MIKRO. It is extremely hard to find strings that fit this tiny bass, but these fit the bass perfectly. I have a 5 string, so I had to purchase a B string single and fret nation was the only store that sells the single B string for short scale basses. They can either have a bite or sound like butter, so whatever sound you are looking for you will only need Black Beauties to get the job done.

DR Black Beauties

I’ve been a fan of the DR colored bass strings for a number of years now. I have them on my favorite bass guitars. I think they sound very good and I usually get positive comments on how great they look!!! On my ‘71 vintage US Fender Precision, I have the Red, White & Blue strings; on my other basses, I try to match the string colors with that of the guitar. I hope to purchase more of these color-coated type of strings, short or long scale, in the future. Thanks, Fret Nation, for making these available (on sale, too).

Glad I found these here on Fret Nation!

It's hard to find short scale strings in Black, but Fret Nation comes through! These are perfect for my "blacked-out" Squier Jaguar short-scale bass. All the hardware is black, so I went on a quest for black short scale strings. I ended up searching a well known bass thread and found them! Not only do they fit proper, they sound excellent! Glad I didn't have to go with black nylon strings on this beast!
