What makes this beautiful bass a B-Stock? There were some finish blemishes along the edge of the body that were factory repaired. Finish looks great now but you can see the burst shading is different than other Combustion models. The bass otherwise is excellent and ready to jam!

Neck Specifications:
Dingwall takes neck construction very seriously due to their extensive experience in guitar repairs and understanding of extreme climates. Dingwall experimented with many different lamination techniques and have found a 5-piece maple construction to be among the best.

Dingwall has combined the minimalist shape of the Afterburner headstock with the lightest import tuners they could find. The result is an excellent balance and solid performance.

The Combustion bass features a single radius fingerboard. This makes for a very comfortable playing experience.

Lee Sklar turned Dingwall onto the benefits of small frets. The advantages are a more woody, less metallic tone, smoother glissando and a faster feel. Dingwalls standard size is "banjo" size. This is the same size you would find on most guitars from the 50's and 60's. Although its size is smaller than standard bass fret wire, its service life is about the same.
