Renowned for his groundbreaking bass work with UK progressive metal pioneers TesseracT, the Amos Williams Signature Dingwall Combustion brings a host of performance-driven features to the Ready to Play artist lineup.  

Reflecting Amos' commitment to reducing waste, each Dingwall Amos Signature bass is build using carefully selected body off-cuts that would have otherwise been too small to create a full instrument.  This sustainable approach ensures that every bass is truly one of a kind with its own distinctive grain pattern and visual character. 

Body and Neck:

Built on the proven Combustion platform, the body is primarily alder with laminated stripes of flame maple, rosewood, and mahogany.  The 5-String features Dingwall's signature Multi-Scale design with a 37" scale length Low-B making it ideal for not only modern progressive metal music but all music and extended-range playing. The bolt-on five-piece maple neck is reinforced with carbon fiber for enhanced stability while its slim C profile ensures a fast comfortable playing experience.  A Pau Ferro Fingerboard with 24 Frets completes the package working alongside Dingwall's existing Multi-Scale system to deliver balanced string tension, improved intonation, and exceptional articulation across every string.  

Pickups and Electronics:

Loaded with three Dingwall FD3n pickups and EMG electronics, the Dingwall Amos Williams Signature Bass has been designed to deliver exceptional clarity, punch, and low-end authority.  The control layout features active/passive switching, a 4-position rotary pickup selector, and a 3-band active EQ giving you everything from articulate clean tones to crushing modern metal sounds while maintaining note definition across the entire frequency range. 

Hardware:

A Graphtech nut, lightweight open-gear Hipshot tuners, and Dingwall's minimalist bridge combine to provide outstanding stability, resonance, and rock-solid performance.  Other finishing touches include a recessed output jack and a magnetic battery compartment.  Every detail has been carefully selected to ensure the Dingwall Amos Williams Signature is as dependable on stage as it is inspiring in the studio.

Dingwall was the first company to design strings specifically for multi-scale instruments. Available in both nickel and stainless steel, our strings provide an even tension for optimal balance, letting you experience the warmest highs and the tightest lows possible.
