The Dingwall Afterburner 2 "ABII or AB2" features a Chambered Walnut Body with a beautiful Walnut Top as a standard option.  The Dingwall Afterburner 2 retains all the versatility of the other Afterburner models with an elegant semi-hollow design. 

Body & Neck:

The core of the Afterburner 2's design is a chambered body carved from walnut, which both helps to reduce the weight and increase the resonance thanks to strategically placed tone chambers. 

Pickups and Electronics:

The Afterburner series comes standard with FDV pickups for a well rounded range of bass tones.  These passive pickups are wired to a Dingwall 4-Position Quad-Tone pickup selector.  Active Preamps and Toggle Switches are available to bring out the most of your custom Afterburner build.

Hardware:

The Dingwall Fanned-Fret system was designed by Ralph Novak to facilitate the most appropriate scale length for each individual string.  It's a pioneering concept that is applied across the entire Dingwall bass lineup!  The rest of the hardware includes a set of custom Hipshot Ultralight machine heads, a Neutrik locking jack socket and Dingwalls Afterburner bridge which centers around a unique brass plate system that holds the saddles securely in place.
