Roger Sadowsky's goal was always to further improve an already very successful bass design by making a number of detailed improvements. Along with the electronics which Roger Sadowsky developed, he succeeded to raise the well known J/J bass sound to a new level. Today, you can describe the typical Sadowsky tone as never harsh or shrill sounding, with strong powerful but never muddy bass, with present but not too aggressive midrange and a sweet and airy treble range. All of these features are found on the MetroLine Will Lee artist model. Will lee is one of the most requested bass players in the world and is known for the David Letterman Show, Horace Silver, George Benson, Bette Middler, and many more! The 5-String version features a sleek undersized J-Style swamp ash body, a J/J pickup configuration, active electronic with true bypass, a custom made preamp according to the specifications of Will Lee with added mid-boost (500 and 800 Hz) to get more punch, Vintage Tone Control, treble and bass boost, ultralight Sadowsky branded tuners and special Sadowsky quick string release bridge. The neck has a smaller profile capped off with a slab of morado (aka Pau Ferro). The Sadowsky MetroLine Will Lee Artist Line is made exclusively in Germany. A great bass for bassists looking for a bass for stage, studio, and ready for any gig.
